Find the Support you need to Overcome addiction

Cross Road Residential Recovery Program

Our four month residential program teaches Godly values, biblical living principles, life skills and recovery tools in a structured residential environment. The Cross Road program includes daily devotions and prayer, bible study and one on one mentoring. Classes are held in a group setting and address a range of topics that are focused on the spiritual, emotional and practical aspects of the individual. These classes and groups are useful in gaining insight into ourselves and developing skills and tools to live a healthy productive life. Focus is also given to regular church attendance, Celebrate Recovery, AA/NA, and Community Service Projects. You need not be a professing Christian to be considered for acceptance into our program. However, you must be open to addiction recovery principles taught from a Christian perspective.

Before entering our program, you must be beyond the detox phase of your addiction. We are not a medical or a clinical program. If you need help with detox, please contact us and we will provide you with the appropriate resources.

Cross Road was opened opened in the fall of 2010 by Paul & Karon Rose. Paul and Karon Rose got clean and sober in 1980. Paul then studied at Hillcrest Baptist Bible Institute, was ordained a Minister of the Gospel in 1985, and began witnessing to the addicted. After serving 15 years in Nashville, TN working with the addicted, they returned to the Richmond, Indiana area and in 2002 Paul founded The Shepherd’s Way Christian Ministries, Inc., opening the Shepherd’s Way Transitional House for Men. In 2008, Karon recognized the need for a women’s transitional program and the Victory House for Women was established. The overwhelming problem of substance abuse demanded that a more intensive recovery program be made available, and in the fall of 2010 the Roses opened Cross Road Christian Recovery Center for Women, a four month residential recovery ministry.

In 2014, Tom and Wendy Canon replaced Paul and Karon as the directors and served in that capacity until 2021 when Donald and Joni Reed filled the position.

Donald and Joni Reed are both recovering addicts who have overcome their addictions through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They have been ministering to those struggling with addiction at local recovery meetings and on an individual basis since 2019. Joni has attended Ivy Tech and Indiana University East, studying nursing and human services/addictions. The Board of directors for the ministry are as follows:
